Google Algorithm

All websites on the internet are assigned a ranking by Google - this ranking is known as the “PageRank”.

There are a lot of mysteries behind the Google ranking system, partially because the algorithm that Google uses to formulate the rankings is top secret.

The ranking system is on a scale of zero to ten - zero being the worst and ten being the best.

The scale is believed to be on a logarithmic scale. This means that each respective level of ranking is supposedly ten times harder to achieve than the rank that comes before it. Continued
